Our individual nail technician’s diaries open roughly every 2 months for the next 2 coming months and we announce our opening dates on socials & through our email newsletter. The exception is December which only opens in November.
We want to support our team as much as possible AND make sure the appointment you book is the one you want. Having a wide open diary can cause problems for taking holidays, moving on to pastures new or going on maternity leave so working with a closed diary gives everyone a little breathing space.

NAF! Club was a VIP service we offered to our most regular clients when we worked with an employed team of technicians. Being a member of the club meant you got first access to appointments with your chosen technician and priority when booking.
This service isn’t something we can guarantee with a team of self-employed beauty pro’s so our NAF! Club membership is currently on hiatus, thank you so much to everyone who was a part of it! The good news is you can now book directly with your chosen tech!

Most of our team are self-employed and use their own products - you can contact them directly to request more information.
Our in-house team uses The Gel Bottle gel polish and lamps, Peacci Nail Polishes, OPI Manicure & Pedicure products and the NSI Attraction Liquid & Powder Acrylic system. All of our products are Vegan & Cruelty free and we have a range of HEMA free products for clients with allergies.

An appointment can take anywhere from 20 minutes for a removal to three hours for a fresh set of acrylic extensions with nail art and gel toes! We recommend getting in touch with our reception team on 0141 2587676 or appointments@nafsalon.com to double check your appointment times.

Gel-X are soft gel extensions which last around 2-3 weeks and soak off in 30 mins in a removal similar to a gel polish removal. They can only be removed and cannot be infilled.
Gel-X are ideal for a one off event such as holiday or wedding if you just want a wee bit of extra length for that occasion but don't plan on keeping them up.
Acrylics require a lil’ more maintenance (Perfect for those hardcore extension wearers) regular infills are required every 2-3 weeks and the removal process takes just a little bit longer.

We can’t apply Acrylic Extensions on anyone under the age of 16 – We can however apply Gel-X Extensions and/ or Gel Polish to anyone over the age of 14.
You must be over the age of 18 for any Lash Lift Treatments.
Aftercare
We take every care in the salon to ensure that your new nails will last but it's important that you look after them between appointments too.
Massage cuticle oil and hand moisturiser in every day. This will nourish the root of the natural nail allowing it to produce stronger, more flexible and non-flaky natural nails & keep the product on them from going brittle. You can purchase NAF! Cuticle Oils in the salon or from our online shop)
Nails are jewels not tools! Gel & acrylic are great for strengthening your nails but they will not make them indestructible. Take as much care as you would with your natural nails, and beware when it comes to ring pulls and car doors!
Your acrylic nails will continue to polymerise for 24 hours and will only be fully set after this time period, please be gentle with them and avoid soaking them in water or any strenuous activity.
Do not soak hands in water for long periods of time. This will cause lifting & take care around extreme heat or naked flames as nail extensions may melt.
We advise you leave no longer than 2-3 weeks between appointments, nails will become weaker as the product grows out and will start to lift and break after this time due to wear & tear and incorrect structure. Do not miss your regular maintenance appointments to ensure your nails stay looking at their best.
If any adverse reaction occurs: rash, redness, inflammation of any kind around the nails please contact your GP immediately.
Do not pick or peel product from your nails as this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails and cause damage, which can sometime be painful and leave them very thin. Avoid home repairs or removals - you could cause a lot more damage than you realise. Book in with one of our nail technicians to keep your natural nails in good shape.
If lifting can be seen please contact us as water and dirt can get under it and cause an infection.
Dyes/tints in food, beauty & hair products cause discolouration. Wear gloves or clean nails after use and be careful when using suntan oils/repellents as some formulations can cause damage to gel polish
Avoid drying chemicals like alcohol or bleach in beauty & cleaning products. Use protective gloves for housework, gardening DIY etc as household chemicals will strip natural nails and skin of natural oils, thus, affecting it's look and condition.
Regular nail polish can be applied over the gel polish if you wish to change the colour temporarily, and can be removed with non-acetone nail polish remover without affecting the gel underneath. Always use a base coat to avoid yellowing.
7 DAY FIX POLICY
We will fix any damage that we deem to be a result of our application free of charge. After 7 days there will be a small fee of £2 per gel polish/overlay and £4 per extension. Please contact reception asap if you need a fix appointment.
